Application of Internet for Secondary Science Education

The purpose of this research was to find efficiency of computer assisted instructional (CAI) on the Web for 9th grade of Thai student. The subjects were 10 students from Suanboon Yopatham Lamphun School, Muang Amphur, Lamphun Province (Which is a secondary school to be under the Department of General Education, Ministry of Education, Thailand.) by multistage random sampling. Experimental design is one-group pretest-posttest design. Research instruments used in this study were 1.) Achievement test of Unit 9 which Development by Researcher 2.) Science Lesson; CAI on the Web and 3.) Questionnaire to Check Attitude and Opinion. The achievement test scores were analyzed by using t-test and questionnaire scores were analyzed by using average scores.
The results of this research were as follows:
1. The achievement test scores between pretest- posttest was statistically significant difference at .01 level.

2. The average scores of students' opinion after studying through CAI on the Web
are as follows:
2.1 Students' satisfaction for CAI on the Web; average scores = 4.8
2.2 The screen design; beautiful and easy to understand; average scores = 4.5
2.3 The method to use or study with CAI on the Web. It is easy to understand; average scores = 4.3
2.4 The subject matter in CAI on the Web, easy to understand; average scores = 4.5
2.5 The question and answer in CAI on the Web, helps to understand the lesson easier; average scores = 4.8
2.6 The web site, makes student to understand the lesson clearly and motivates them to study more; average scores = 4.7
